William Ketch (Bill) (5/1943-9/2022) was born in Morristown New Jersey and was an Avid antique car builder and collector.  Cars were Bill’s love and daily passion.  He was a lifelong resident of Randolph NJ and business owner in Dover New Jersey.  Bill started as an auto mechanic at a young age working for Pontiac.  He then later became an owner of Sunoco Gas station in Chester New Jersey.  Bill then moved onto owning his own towing business Classic Car Carriers and then later only focused on restoring and working on his Antique cars both personally and professionally.  He was known for specializing in 1937 fords.  He custom built from scratch a 1937 ford club cabriolet convertible in which he had never driven and kept in a closed trailer.  He took the Club Cabriolet to shows all over even Ellicott City Maryland where his car was once judged for 7 hours and took home many awards including Best In Show.

The 1937 Club Cabriolet car was only driven for the first time to his daughter Kim’s wedding.  He started with his first collection of cars which was corvettes.  He had about 6 at one time including an Indiana pace car.  The Randolph cops were even called once thinking the pace car was stollen!  Little did my dad know his wife Kathy took it for a spin.  He also had several cars in his collection later including one from the Henry Ford Museum.

His lifelong business partner was his wife, Kathleen Ketch.  They later created K&B (Kathy & Bill) where he continued to restore cars for customers and himself.  He also got involved in Brookville roadsters and custom built a 1929 Brookville Ford Pickup Roadster in which he also drove around for fun but took home many awards at shows as well.  He had a passion for Tuesday night cruise nights in the summer which he did with fellow members of a local street rod club.

He often took his granddaughter Quinlan to the cruise nights where she would help work the show to make money for local charities.  He had several garages at home and a separate shop where he spent every day of his life working on cars his true love and passion.  He even helped his son Patrick restore Volkswagen bugs when he wasn’t working on his projects or a project for a customer.

Bill had parts and cars everywhere!  He spent his life going to car shows like Macungie,  PA and Lead East.  There was nothing that Bill didn’t enjoy more than a nice summer day and going for a cruise with some great 50’s music playing.

THESE ITEMS ARE LOCATED IN DOVER, NEW JERSEY IN BILL’S SHOP.
