Selling for Ken Muth, Wood Natural

Fabulous Primitives, Early Furniture, Books and Ledgers, Frakturs, Slide Boxes, Paintings, Kayaks & More!

Online Auction 7PM Tuesday, May 23, 2023

A wonderful collection of antiques, primitives, books, artwork & local antique ephemera!

Imagine stepping back in time as you walk through the doors of Mr. Muth’s Wood Natural business. This unique establishment, now closed, specialized in disassembling and reassembling antique buildings, including historical treasures such as barns, wagon sheds, farmhouses, log cabins, and stunning stonework.

This love and appreciation of early buildings and architecture was the perfect fits for Ken’s appreciation for antiques and interesting objects. As you browse the auction catalog, you can’t help but feel wonder at the craftsmanship and history behind some of these beautiful objects. Each one tells a story of a bygone era, when life was simpler and people relied on their own two hands to build things of both function and beauty.

Whether you’re a history buff or simply appreciate the beauty of old-world craftsmanship, you’re sure to find something that catches your eye.

Furniture includes early primitive blanket chests, mortise bench, jelly cupboard, Queen Anne table,  secretary desks, teachers desks, corner cupboards, high dressers and more!

This collection includes Indian artifacts locally found, woven gathering baskets, tin type photos, ambrotypes, early slide boxes, printers blocks of Lehigh County, porcelain Lehigh Cements sign, antique tools, butter paddles, early fraktur art, animal hides, antique eagle top; salvaged from Allentown’s Miss Liberty Monument plus primitives and collectibles.

Douglas signed oil, early Jay Killian signed watercolor, several artist signed and numbered prints and several unsigned pieces of early art.
