Enjoy various techniques and artists displayed including Wyland, Marcune, Scott and others. Most art pieces in this auction are from the Ben Fortunado Marcune Estate. In mid-career Ben moved to Pensylvannia and studied at the PA Academy of Fine Arts. He is well known for his plein air paintings of historic Bethlehem and Bucks County. He is also well known for his portrait work. He was commissioned in portraiture for Joseph Daddonna, Ken Smith, Don Cunningham, Hank Barnette, and Fred Jaindl. He was an accomplished sculptor completing several works, most noted are two 9 foot sculptures for DeSales University, and a part of the Korean Vietnam Memorial at The United States Armed Forces Plaza.
There are several more accomplishments and commissioned works along the way. Several of his local commissioned works are featured in original and print within this collection.
